After two back-to-back hits, it seems Vidyut Jamwal has been accepted as the new action hero in Bollywood. He says any genre with a maneuver would interest him.
He unleashed his magic on the big screen for Hindi film viewers as the antagonist in the John Abraham-starrer Force and now he has impressed them as action hero in the recently released Commando.
Talking about the kind of projects he looks forward to Vidyut IANS: "Anything that will have challenges in terms of action, I will do it, I'm not limiting myself, but it has to do something with action.".
Currently shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullet Raja, the 34-year-old actor said: "I would love to do action-comedy, action drama, action romance I've done action from the age of three, and I want to continue to do it .. I'm happy to be typecast as the action hero. "
A national level gymnast and an expert in Kalaripayattu - a form of martial arts from Kerala, he bowed his muscles and proud his martial arts expertise to "Commando" and claims that his kind of stunts are incomparable.
"Kind of action, as I do, I do not think anyone else does this kind of action. I'm happy to do it, and I was born to do action," he added.
Directed by Dilip Ghosh were Commando described as an out and out Vidyut movies. It has never seen before action scenes received positive response and helped the film Laden Rs 11.18 crore at the box office in the opening weekend.
"There are a lot of happiness now. Response has been wonderful. This was my first solo and I tried a new thing. There was a lot of excitement and now there is a lot of luck," said the actor.
In Commando came out April 12, he was seen with former Miss India Pooja Chopra.
